Yikes, sorry about that. My brain is mush. It is the opposite. WOrcester is one of the only communities that has a 5 by Dec 31 policy---the rest are all either Aug 31 or Sept 1. So, if your child has a birthday after Sept 1, he/she will be required to wait another year. Many private K don't have a birthday cutoff so some communities are now adding an age requirement for Grade 1, as well.
