And I think the OP is painting a bad picture of hingham. Sure there are shallow people I'm sure, but there are also plenty of people who care about things like women's/animal rights, etc. It's not just people in Cambridge and somerville and concord who have a brain.

I agree but I'm also obviously biased, what with being a liberal Hinghamite.

Have you thought about cambridge or somerville?
It has to be someplace beautiful and safe, like Hingham. I need a nice house with privacy and a yard. I don't know anything about either place but I'll check them out. Thanks!

And not caring about social justice and npr doesn't make you a bad person either. Npr sprouts the same type of crap on my Facebook page all day. Race baiting, police hating broadcast company

Manchester by the sea is very Italian heavy. It is by the sea but a few people I've known from there reminded me of some of the folks on jersey shore. Needham is also very similar to hingham. Weston and Wellesley too.

Is it really? I haven't spent a lot of time there but it always struck me as similar. Interesting.

Ipswich was my second choice 25 years ago. I will definitely check it out again. Thanks!
