Not surprised. My daughter's driving instructor insisted they all take their road exams at the registry in Taunton even though we don't live near there, and he insisted he accompany everyone. I don't know anyone who flunked. I always thought he had some kind of "arrangement" going on.

This has happened periodically over the last 30 years, including with corrupt former Registry Police inspectors. You would think they would have found a way to improve safeguards against this and strengthen integrity of the system.

In the 60's when RMV road tests were given by RMV cops, it was said that if there was a $20 bill in the seat when the cop got in, you would pass no matter what.

Taunton woman admits to bribing RMV employee to issue driver’s licenses without a road test

If convicted I will be surprised if she gets much, if any, time.

We already have enough bad drivers on the roads, I wonder if these folks will be forced to complete drivers ed and actually have to take the test now or else have their license revoked?

What's stopping someone with a revoked license from driving? It's not like there's a way to check a driver's license before they get behind the wheel.

Nothing but if they decide to drive after revocation and get caught, they face an even higher set of charges. Do they not?
