Agree? Disagree? Can't honestly say there's a whole lot aesthetically pleasing about the place. Downtown is a dump. The city is pretty much...a dump.

All these dirty run down cities can probably just be grouped together (Fitchburg, Worcester, Brockton, Fall River). There's nothing that really makes any one of these aesthetically much better than the others. If anything, Fall River is aesthetically the best because it has a waterfront.

NB at least has the waterfront/whaling district working in its favor. That sets it a tier above those other crapholes.

I am not a fan of Worcester, but it has some nicer places, museums, ice arena etc.

Yeah, Worcester does not belong on this list.

Yeah Worcester is too big to generalize and has some nice parts. There's some good schools there including UMass Medical. Sounds like she's never been there.

IMO, Worcester is the most depressing larger city in New England.
