A few days ago, a 37-year-old man was shot on Pittman St.. This is a rough area off Eastern Ave., and near Reis Meat Market

Then what happened last night is absolutely CRAZY, when two men were arrested after shooting at a woman while chasing her down the street. Both suspects are from Boston (Mattapan and Dorchester). Jeremole Auguste, 31, and Christopher Good, 32 were the alleged shooters. Even crazier, these perps apparently don't have that great a shot. It sound like they missed on every single round fired!

This one happened at Tuttle and Dwelly St., in the South End off S Main St..

That's what makes hoodlums carrying illegal firearms that much more dangerous. It's not just because they're carrying guns but because they tend to have incredibly bad aim. To properly use a firearm, you need training i.e. at a gun range and many hours of target shooting. These young hoods out in our streets probably think its like the movies where you'd just point and shoot blindly but next thing you know they miss their target and gun down an innocent bystander that just happened to pass by. It happens too often.

People need to consider that when dealing with any ghetto area. Out goes the "don't deal drugs or join a gang and you will be fine anywhere", when bullet intended for the rival gangbanger hits a baby in a stroller two blocks away. You even read that outrageous speak on this forum from time to time.

It should be noted that the hard core gang members are generally pretty competent with their marksmanship, but for every one them there are another five or ten low grade hoodlums mimicking what they see in Hollywood or TicTok.

This last paragraph is true, but there aren’t many hardcore gang members in MA outside of Boston and Springfield. The rest are kind of knock offs off brand wannabees. But yea there are gang members in Boston that really do go to gun ranges. I guess who ever can 1) legally own a gun 2) doesn’t want to waste ammunition or further risk their lives by shooting and missing a rival, goes.

...and don't forget wasted prison time and probably "consequences" from their own gang for missing the intended target.

Do you even need to legally own a gun to go to a range in MA? I was always under the impression that many ranges rent guns for use or make them available to members regardless of whether or not they can/do own one. Maybe I'm wrong.

I think most ranges require an LTC to join, although many do allow guests (typically one at a time per member) who don't need to be licensed.

I don’t know. I saw a video on Instagram of people I know to be involved in a gang and they were like 5/6 deep at the range which makes me think you don’t need to legally own a gun. No way all of them are good for an LTC, no way.

A man was shot tonight on St. Joseph St.. Victim was found by police around 7pm with "possibly life threatening" injuries. St. Joseph St. is off of Eastern Ave., and a few block from where a man was shot less than two weeks ago.

And don't forget that St. Joseph St. was the site of ANOTHER shooting October of 2021.
