This happened this morning. The student is from Chelsea. I guess this is a charter high school?

KIPP is a very a big network of Charter schools. There is one in Mattapan (KIPP Academy Boston)… one in DC too. I've heard of KIPP Lynn many many times.

Over vaping.

I find it so unfair that a female staff member would have to or want to confront an adult 18-year male especially nowadays.

It'll likely encourage most staff everywhere to just allow vaping and such. Not worth the possible outcome.

I didn't realize the vice principal was a woman...or that it had to do with vaping. Crazy.

News feed:

"An 18-year-old student tried to kill a staff member at a KIPP Academy charter high school in Lynn during a stabbing at the school on Monday, according to Lynn police.

Police have arrested Chelsea resident Larnel Jean Eustache and charged him with assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, mayhem and other offenses in connection with the stabbing, Lynn police said in a press release.

The school staff member was stabbed multiple times during the incident, but was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Eustache ran away from the school before police arrived, but was found and arrested by officers a short time later."

If we all made decisions based on national news, extreme outlier events, we'd never do anything. This is a wildly unusual event, which is why we're talking about it in the first place.
