Hello, I will be staying in Kaanapali in a few weeks and need transportation to Lahaina early AM (6am) for a few days to scuba dive. Are there Ubers around that early or would I need a cab? Any good cab recommendations? Thanks

Kaanapali for Uber is really hit and miss.....

I'd have a reliable scheduled pickup if you are catching a boat. I always get a car on Maui so I don't know the cab companies but they are at all the hotels.

One thing you can do is while in Phoenix - open the uber app at 6am Hawaii time and see if any Uber's are around Kaanapali, you can punch in any pickup location not just your local area.

Another idea is to get a Maui cruiser rental. You could rent it for a couple days by the time you pay for an uber. And you'll have you're own transportation for whenever you need it. Maui Cruisers - Cheap Maui Car and Van Rentals - Home

Just got back from staying in Kaanapali and used Uber 2x and had no issues, granted it was just a 2 mile trip. The drivers we had were very pleasant, informative and eager to work so I don't think you will have a problem.

Cab as its safer then Uber but the safest is just to rent a car and dive yourself
