CNN isn't progressive enough. They are left but they hardly give progressives a fair shake and it is nothing new. Bernie wasn't given one in 2016 and AOC hasn't been either. CNN is the main stream. Even democrats don't want the mainstream. They rather watch TYT or other internet outlets rather than normal TV. Much ado about nothing.

I never thought I'd say this, but CNN was a much better as an organization in red state Georgia. I'm not a fan of Ted Turner, but I have to give him credit for fighting to keep CNN in Atlanta as long as he could to keep it from getting absorbed into the groupthink prevalent in the NYC/DC media circuit.
CNN is my favorite news channel. I particularly like the morning shows.....and then Anderson Cooper in the evening and Don Lemon when I can't sleep. Great hosts, good coverage, accurate reporting. I also like Jeff Tubin and the various consultants.....very good journalists
It really isn't. Fox News is the mainstream. They even bring Bernie and the other Dem candidates on to have town halls in front of a friendly audience.
CNN, on the other hand, is nothing but anti-Trump insanity 24/7/365. They don't even pretend to give him a fair shake.
Fox may bring on the Dem candidates but then they mock them on shows like Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham and Judge Pirro's suspended show. The only shows I've watched that are fair enough are The Five and Greg Gutfield's with the former only living breathing funaksaurus in captivity Tyrus. The Five I've seen in the gym a few times and it is fairish, Gutfield's is pretty enjoyable, especially for Tyrus. Yes, I was a fan of his as a wrestler.
I think dismissing CNN as not a mainstream outlet is a problem. It is the mainstream. Fox is the mainstream IFF you are on the right. CNN is a more mainstream left outlet. Show me when they give Bernie or AOC a fair shake. I can tell you, they don't. I can tolerate certain CNN personalities now and I'll get to them below. That said, it is a fairly center left outlet while Fox is anywhere from center-right to far-right, depending on who is on. CNN is consistently center/establishment left and not at all progressive. If you think CNN is progressive, I'd hate to see what you think of TYT or the Jimmy Dorn show.
As for being anti-Trump, the only cable outlet that isn't anti-Trump and at about this time four years ago they weren't was Fox. CNN during the early days of the Republican nominee run was fairer to Trump than Fox was. I remember Trump being on CNN like once every other week. Fox would be as fair as CNN was, especially in light of the Megyn Kelly comments. People forget this.

Jeffery Tubin, Erin Burnette, Van Jones and to an extent Jake Tapper are good. Wolf is alright too. But yeah, Cuomo is an idiot, Lemon is grading at times (and there was a time I liked him) and AC is just annoying. That said, I only watch snipetts of CNN on YouTube now.

I have a special feeling for Brooke Baldwin. She's an Atlanta native and I'm sure she was not happy about moving to NYC a few years ago (she was the last of the mainline staff at the CNN Center).
Jake Tapper occasionally gets it right too, and I do love Erin Burnett's bad poker faces.
The rest are just plain insufferable, with Jeffrey Toobin being the worst.
Boy, you sure can worry about CNN, and to be keeping tabs on everything that's going on there. But, haters will spend all day digging up things on the things they hate I guess.
Yep! CNN is all about the hate which is why their ratings suck!
CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WAPO have been exposed almost weekly for actual fake news. Both CNN and NYT came out last week and had to apologize for specific fake news reporting they got trashed for.
