When Trump talks about "fake news" or "corrupt news," he should be pointing a finger at his favorite channel.
But why lie so much? Honest intellectual conservatism is a respectable political viewpoint. Why throw your integrity and ethics away on cheap lies?
They lie because it pays better. Trump supporters are statistically shown to be less educated, so overall, they are less likely to want the even-handed factual reporting of PBS. They prefer listening to stories that are a little more sensationalised, stories that appeal to their emotions, that don't demand knowledge or logic. So they get more viewers with trumped up scandal, and then Trump likes Fox and drives even more viewers that way.
I'll also put in a good word for the movie Outfoxed.
A good analysis but a flawed conclusion. A left-leaning bias is only one possible explanation. Another explanation is that since the Republicans have embraced the dishonest brand of reactionary populism practiced by Trump, that they simply lie more often than Democrats do.

Your own bias is showing. I urge people to read Shapiro's piece and draw their own conclusion. It's pretty obvious that Politifact is just another aspect of the DNC's propaganda machine.
