I have always liked her. She is too good of a journalist to be unemployed just because neither "tribe" will have her. It's a shame that trying to be unbiased is seen as a negative in this day in age.
She interrupts her guests too much, and makes the interview too much about what she thinks the answer should be, instead of just asking a question and listening to the response.
I don't like her. She's irritating. I didn't like her when she was on FNC and I didn't like her during the debates. They'll probably give someone from the weekend daytime the 3PM spot and they're all libs. Or, they'll promote one of the morning people or one of the couch women on at noon. Where are all the people we were told would leave when Smith left?
I hope they don't give it to the motormouth sometimes on The Five. My ears can't hear as fast as she talks. I didn't like Guilfoyle, either, for a similar reason, she was loud and irritating like Joy Behar. I agreed with basically everything they said. They just didn't/don't know how to control their voices. My choice would be Tammy Bruce. Listened to her radio show on the weekend when I lived in Maryland. Because of the radio show she knows how to modulate her voice.
But what we have to take into consideration is whether the 3PM person is also expected to be at the breaking news desk. If that is so, they might give it to Ed Henry.
Fox didn't take a big hit when she quit, and NBC didn't get a big boost when they hired her. And no one has really missed her in either place since.
It seems to me that Megyn doesn't have enough punch left with her presence to be worth the money and hassle it would be to hire her anywhere. She got a fat bail-out from NBC, and no one is ever going to offer her that kind of money again, so if there ever is an offer, it will be for far less. Accepting less money makes her more expendable after she's hired, and she knows it.
Really, what does she have that's so special Gretchen Carlson didn't have?
If either one of them were ever to become a regular on Fox again, they would be a daily reminder of Fox's bad old days in the recent past. That sort of thing doesn't help Fox out any, especially when Fox has enough un-tarnished replacements who hold more potential.
I think Kelly's best chances for carrying on her career probably lie somewhere on the internet or on satellite radio, operating as an independent.
But most of all, I think Megyn will probably retire. Or she may drop out of sight and work on establishing more cred as a journalist for quite a while and then attempt a later second career in front of the cameras once again.
She's still young enough to have the time to accomplish that if she's careful and smart about it. Judging from the way she handled her sterling opportunity at NBC, I'm not sure Kelly is either very careful or very smart.

I don't like her, either, and her appearance on Tucker's show very quickly brought back all the memories of why. I hope Fox has the good sense not to make to same mistake twice.

How does that differ from Hannity or Ingraham? Bring her back to Fox.
Both true. Megyn was prettier when her hair was longer. I strongly prefer women with hair that is at least shoulder length.
There's a pretty woman in the Fox News/Fox Business roster that can fill that 3 PM spot who has shoulder length or longer hair.

Martha MacCallum is not moving to Shep's old time slot. In cable news, no one who is doing well in a Primetime time slot would be moved to the daytime.
