familywatchdog.us is an interesting site to see if any sexual offenders live near you so you can avoid them.

dont freak out jjnnino. there were lots in california. there was one with a beachfront house in manhattan beach. sex offender does not equal child rape. theres quite a few things people can do to become sex offenders.
i did have fun on a messageboard by competing to find the freakiest looking sex offender in your neighborhood and posting the picture.

Default SEX SEX SEX (and violence)

Why is it that SEX offenders are registered, but murderers, drug dealers, manslaughterers, assaulters, robbers, muggers, arms dealers, drug dealers, etc etc just go about life anonymously like nothing ever happened? Isn't this bizarre? Is it that we are all chilled to the bone that little Sallyt might get groped, but we have no concern at all that little Johnny might get his teeth beaten out of his face by the street thugs next door? Or is it just SEX SEX SEX just gives us some cheap salacious thrill that it captivates our attention?

Society is ill.

At least in part it is the idea that many people have that sex offenders, particularly those who assault children, cannot be rehabilitated. I'm not judging the merit of that argument; it may be that sex offenders have a high recidivism rate, or it may be a witch hunt.

Why is there a sex offender list while murders have none? A teenage boy starts something against an adult then goes squeeling to the police. The adult should know better but because of his state of mind, goes along with it, and his life is ruined within less than 30 minutes. Who is the victim there? Police need to do more investigating.
