Announced yesterday but not making a lot of news outlets… General Odierno passed after battling cancer. He was overseeing Iraq during General McChrystal’s time overseeing Afghanistan.
Announced yesterday but not making a lot of news outlets… General Odierno passed after battling cancer. He was overseeing Iraq during General McChrystal’s time overseeing Afghanistan.
I worked with him around 1999-2000 when he was a BG working manpower issues at Army HQ in the Pentagon. I really liked working with him and was glad to see him advance over the years.
