Does anyone own or know of one in the area where someone has turned a Morgan style building into a home?

I know it sounds crazy but .. I have about 3-5 of them in my area that went up .... in the last few years ..and they look like homes.

Dollar General builds there stores this way as well.

A daycare about 25 miles from me built one for a b uilding and I didnt even know it was a Morgan Building - guess no horse stalls just threw me off! lol

There are several in our area. I have only been in one of them and it was beautiful. He had a huge family room as you walked in the door with a fire place. He had covered all the walls and ceiling with pine wood and it was georgeous. There was a smaller family room/dining room with a floor to ceiling window, nice sized kitchen, large bath and one bedroom. He could easily have made the first family room two more bedrooms and another bath. But it was very nice. FYI....they are called Morton Buildings.

Morgan Buildings & Equipment Morgan is a name of a company I used as an example.

Some say they are cheaper to build but like anything it depends on the full effects you want .. types of flooring / windows / doors etc..

Here is a Morton made to a home Morton Buildings, Inc. - Morton's Showcase -

2-b--- We actually have been considering this. We are big Rver's and its just the two of us. We would love to have a place where we could pull the rig in and have a living room, kitchen, laundry, and bedroom inside the building. We were considering doing this in Texas (where we are right now and hopefully leaving soon ) but we discovered we could be leaving for Missouri in 2008 so we just bought a little house with a few acres. Once we make it to Missouri (it will depend on what time of year) on how we will live. If its winter we will have to rent something, if its spring we will stay in the RV. We are considering buying a piece of property and pricing out a Morton. We just wonder if you could mortgage something like that???? Do you have any idea on how their pricing structure goes?
