I'll be surprised if he even fights...

Dana gave him some $ to hype up the UFC IMO.

he will fight, though maybe he would be better as a color commentator type guy.

I doubt that since Joe Rogan does that job pretty and has been with the UFC since the late 90's so my guess he is just a publicity stunt and will have one fight and if he loses he will crawl back to WWE or if he wins have very a short run till his age and huge list of injuries he took as a WWE performer catch up to him.

UFC has seems to lost their way and well need to scale back a bit and put together better cards and make real dedicated MMA fighters in to household names and build them up on their own instead of brining in a big name for a one shoot deal for a publicity stunt that will probably end in a crappy fight just for a few more PPV buys and ticket sales.

Even if he is rubbish I'll still watch the fight. Weird that he gets to fight straight away in the UFC, he will have to fight some other no name guy who gets a shot at top organisation, what if the fight is boring? Seems like a bit of a risk for just the freakshow element..... still I'll be watching

I think a guy like Diego Sanchez would still punish him easily

I think after a fight or two our mr Punk will get a reality check and we'll probably see him back in the WWE in the very near future.

It's not about a "reality check". He's just doing something he's passionate about. I take him at his word. If he returns to wrestling I think it will be NJPW and ROH.

Of course you will, that's what Dana White is banking on.

My prediction is starting to come true.

CM Punk sucks at MMA and now he has hurt his back...

I'm starting to hear rumors that he may be heading back to the WWE.
