Again there are 48 states where you can wallow in all the liberalism you can take with as many friends as you feel you need to coddle you! YOU DONT MOVE TO WYOMING FOR THE PEOPLE.

Only reason I'm replying on this thread is because the OP was on the Ohio thread thinking about moving there and the title caught my eye!
There are 49 other state besides Wyoming by the way. Interesting leap about being coddled.

48 liberal cesspools. Alaska is very much like Wyoming.

Wyoming isn't immune. Jackson's been lost for years. Now it's spilled over to Victor, Driggs, Tetonia, etc.

Sheridan and a handful of other 'pretty places' have been taken over, to a lesser degree of magnitude in comparison to more populous places in the region.

Laramie has exploded since I left in '92 after 5yrs at UW. Population was 12K back then, maybe 24K when college was in session. It was over 31K by 2020, probably a lot more than that now. Same with Cheyenne.

My point being, there's really no escaping it anywhere in the West at this point - unless you literally want to go live in the sticks with extremely limited (or none) options for healthcare, emergency services, basic food and supplies, utility infrastructure, etc. And the winds of Wyoming will drive most people insane, anyway.

Your absolutely correct? Wyoming is close to being lost as much as I hate to admit it. There's conservatives that try to hold on to a conservative life but realize it's almost gone. Probably why were so grumpy. We live off grid and in the forest away from everyone. Honestly it's awesome. We do everything ourselves but wouldn't have it any other way! Blessed by the great Lord! Very few actually go back into the mountains in harsh conditions in most of Wyoming and I'm sure Montana is similar. We can always get away from the craziness so Wyoming fits us well.

I’m a center-left independent (or I guess a bloodthirsty Stalinist by Wyoming standards), and I’d choose AK over WY all day every day. There are plenty of differences.

Not a bash on Billings, but it's not as scenic as Bozeman, Missoula, or Kalispell.
We spoke with an older rancher in Bighorn off I94 east of Billings. This was in 2020 so during COVID. He told us that ranches were being sold more than usual. This is fairly flat, and, I think, scenic in its own way. But not like the western portion of the state.

Not a Stalinist; a woke, communist, socialist, Marxist, liberal, leftist guy who was indoctrinated and groomed to be that way. Those are the scare words you're looking for.

Interesting. It's being purchased by out of state people? That definitely doesn't fit my theory of the wealthy being attracted to mountains and lakes and certainly no skiing nearby.

So everyone in WY considered a ‘true conservative’ in WY lives off grid and away from everyone? LOL!!!

60 years ago that was called being a ‘Hippie’.
