Whose brilliant idea was it to eliminate half of the parking in Sunnyside? As a graduate student who lives off campus and not on a bus route, the only feasible way for me to get to campus is to drive and now there is no parking and it's only going to get worse when the semester starts.

I believe they are building a new garage to address the issue, but you might have to be a bit patient.

I'm done in Morgantown in a year. They should have waited to paint curbs until a garage is built

Regulated curbs was and idea from the actual student residents of Sunnyside. A few years ago, people started to drive in from West Run / Van Voorhis and park anywhere they could find a spot from The students that live in Sunnyside could not find a space anywhere near their actual apartment or house. It has been an ongoing issue for several years. The University should create a commuter lot with continuous bus service like they do for some of the hospital employees.

I'd be completely okay with that as long as the bus route ran all day.

I'm on the downtown campus anywhere from 30 minutes to 14 hours a day. Sometimes 6 or 7 days a week (grad school sucks) so taking most bus routes isn't feasible so I'm forced to drive. I honestly don't know how I'm going to find parking with this blue curb nonsense once the semester starts back up

Park at the Coliseum (which is free) and take the PRT downtown. Simple solution if you ask me.

Morgantown will never have enough parking spaces.

Park n Rides outside the Morgantown city limits for university/city employees is REALLY REALLY needed.

Yeah, when I was off campus, I just parked at the Coliseum and took the PRT (granted I was at Engineering most of the time, but it worked for my downtown classes as well).

Actually, they just opened a new Park and Ride out near Cheat Lake for people coming in from the East and Uniontown. I'll look for a link.

Just another to add to the long list of complaints (most justified) about Morgantown's poor parking, roads, and infrastructure.

I don't know what they're thinking. There's not enough parking at the coliseum anymore because they've eliminated everything in sunnyside forcing more people to park there. There aren't any options for parking for the students that have to drive to campus
