Have either WVU or Mon General said where they are building. That's great news for Fairmont. I wonder what they will do with the old hospital. I never thought that was the best location and I wonder if Fairmont University can do anything with the building or property. That hospital seemed outdated when I went to Fairmont State in the early 80's. I think the old hospital had 207 beds but i'm sure most people in Fairmont like in every other town in this part of the state goes to Morgantown for anything serious. Maybe they could put in a rehab center. This state sure needs more of them.
I believe Mon General bought land in or near the technology park and WVU Medicine owns almost 30 acres around the Gateway and that is where they intend to build.
Was at the WVU Medical UTC tonight and spotted some tents in the back. Nurse said it was the new drive through Corona virus testing setup. She was unsure when it would actually be operable bit assuming very soon.

Despite COVID going on, the Children’s hospital is going up quickly. There is a very sizable steel structure already completed and as of yesterday when I was in the area, construction activity was very busy.
