I think I'm more on the European instrumental musics, but I've really enjoyed instrumental music. Has anyone heard of Apocalyptica? They make some incredibly emotional instrumental music.

Some nice tracks up there

I love this one

YouTube - Marvin Gaye - After The Dance (Instrumental)

Is it just me or do instrumentals by vocal artists tend to be particularly interesting? There are many artists who do nothing but instrumentals. Sure, those tracks tend to be more challenging musically, but often they lack that special something in my opinion, and many of them sound alike.

Nice bass playing there, I just love the sound of a good bass

And Bob James on keyboards I like this dreamy tune he did with Marcus Miller and David Sanborn. there are a couple of nice tunes on that album, for instance Maputto (spelled with only one t, but curse protection asterisked the correct spelling ).
