But "modern forró", that originated in the 1990's, is a lot different of traditional forró.
Until a few years ago this modern forró was popular only in Northeastern Brazil, but now it's becoming popular in all the other regions of the country, even if almost all artists and bands in the genre are from the Northeast.
- Aviões do Forró (a band that had a male and a female singer, but since 2017 the female singer quit in order to pursue a solo career, now it only has the male singer, Xand)
(Marcos & Belutti are not forró artists, their main genre is "Sertanejo", but this particular song has a Forró beat, and Wesley Safadão was invited to record the song with them)

I couldn't forget to mention Riquelme, the drummer of Aviões do Forró, that is considered by many the great innovator in the forró drums, creating the drum style that is prevalent in modern forró since 2005-2006
One interesting thing about the modern forró music industry is that there is a tradition in this industry (that was stronger in the past, and is not so prevalent today) of making "forró versions" of songs from other countries, from other genres, creating lyrics in Portuguese that have almost nothing to do with the lyrics of the original songs.
