We are frequent visitors to Marco Island for vacations and are looking to retire in the Naples area. We are looking at Fiddlers Creek due to their affiliations with MBOR. I am a competitive tennis player and looking for best community for tennis. Thoughts?

Fiddler's is a great place to live since its between Marco and the main shopping areas of Naples.
The only big drawback there are the fees. Some buyers just feel its too much if they don't plan to use everything the community offers. I can e-mail you the fee schedule if you like so you can see what I mean.
The whole 'East Trail' area is slowly but surely being redeveloped so much more is coming to the 'surrounding' area at least. I don't know of any places to live in Marco that are 'known for tennis'. You'll have to stay in Naples for that. And I would assume you want something more substantial than just a country club with 6-8 courts?

Yes, I prefer to live in Naples and just go to Marco for the beach type thing. I mention Fiddlers Creek simply due to their affiliation to MBOR which is where we always stay on Marco Island. I also don't mind if I have to drive a bit for the tennis in the greater Naples area but yes I'm looking to be somewhere near the top players if they congregate at one community or facility.
