Hi, We recently moved(from bay area) to Cason Lane apartment in Murfreesboro. Me and my 21 months old daughter would love to make new friends and go for a walk/play ground etc.Can anyone tell me some good places that is child friendly? Were she can get down and run around and play? Eager to meet moms with toddlers.

Thank you.

When my kids were that young, had the most luck making new Mom and play date friends at places like story time at the library, the soft play area at the mall, the Discovery Center and the playgrounds at the greenway. I think there are several different bouncy house type places now, also. Good luck!

I have friends who are somewhere around there. Let me check with her and see where her grandbabies are.

Bay area? SF? Chesapeake? Hudson?

I have an adult daughter in Knoxville who has a toddler and wanted to meet other moms with children about the same age. She has a strong network of family and friends there, but all of them had children who were several years older than her's. She registered on meetup.com and searched for mom's groups near her and joined one. They do all kinds of things like going to parks, playgrounds, the zoo, story time at the library, etc. Smaller subsets of the group also meet at each other's homes for play time. They occasionally have activities on the weekends so the husbands can participate. They have had cookouts and camping trips.

It's a diverse group with a few locals and a lot of people who have just moved to the area, including from the UK and Nepal. The British woman had some moms over this week so they could experience a "proper cup of tea" while the children played.

Look at meetup.com and search for "moms", "mommy", "parents", etc.

And welcome to the area!
