This is very interesting. SouthStar, the developer behind much of the recent Cool Springs development along Carothers Parkway and McEwen, is working with the United States Tennis Association on a mixed use development in Spring Hill adjacent to the existing Crossings retail development.

This would host the southeastern Regional Headquarters for the USTA and have the potential to host regional and national championships. It will also include a 120,000 SF fitness center (LifeTime?) and more residential and retail/office.

Most significantly, this would be on the Maury side of Spring Hill. Previous Spring Hill developments like this have almost been exclusively in Williamson. Could this be the beginning of more higher end developments in Maury? And is Maury ready for something like a LifeTime Fitness?

Interesting times ahead.
