So I think it's been well established that exposure to natural environments is beneficial for relieving stress and improving mood. What was new (for me) in this discussion was that it's also been connected to improved cognitive test scores and improvements in brain tissue structures as observed via function MRI scans.

I enjoyed reading the article you attached. Thank you. Nice to see science backing up what seems intuitively to be true. A short hike at Campbell Falls State Park (NW CT, on the MA line) the other day was a case in point. Bitterly cold day, but beautiful. The almost mystical quality of this woodlands definitely lingers and makes everything just a little bit clearer.
IIRC, I read somewhere that bc of CFSP's elevation, it is similar to woodlands further north. A special place.
