SUMMER CAMP FOR LIVINGSTON RESIDENTS - 11 YR OLD BOYS (recommendations for day camps or basketball camp or golf camp) (Newark: 2013)

Hi. We are moving to Livingston this summer. I have 11 year old twins boys. Just wondering where parents send their kids to camp. What are the good day camps? Also are there any sports specialty camps around like for basketball and for golf? One of my boys plays basketball and the other golf.

I'd love to hear any suggestions!

Newark Academy (in Livingston, since you're new to the area!) offers some good sports camps in summer. But not golf.

the township does a camp: Summer Camps |.

i work for this camp in maplewood, which has some livingston students: http://www.ssreg.com/images/classes/...Catalog(2).pdf. there is basketball, no golf.

Thank you both so much!!! Just curious...do most kids go to the township camp? Or do kids tend to go to specialty camps?

I'd like for my boys to make some friends before school starts so sending them to a place where they will meet kids that will go to their school in the fall would be idea.

The Newark Academy camps draw kids from many surrounding towns. If meeting kids from town if a priority, seems like the township camp would be your best bet.

both. the difference is that the town camp will be of all livingston residents, specialty camps will be from other towns as well.
