I'm researching the bus option to commute to NYC since the train permit parking may involve a long wait. I hear ppl on here mention the Shoprite bus stop on Rt34 and Lloyd Road.
I've driven to the World Class Shoprite a few times and looked around the parking lot. Do ppl just park in the Shoprite customer lot and walk over to the bus stop? Or is there a special section set aside for commuters? Do you need permits?
I saw some info on the Aberdeen Township website about 100 commuter permit spots in the AMF Strathmore center. Are these the parking spaces you're supposed to use for taking the 133 Bus at Shoprite?
I have uses Cheeswquake for 2 years. There is never an issue with parking. There are lots on both side of the building. I take an 8am bus which is later than most and always have parking. Also they aren't really strict. I usually park a couple spots up on the south side than what is designated so shorten the walk. No issues at all.
Just to update this thread to anyone who may move to Aberdeen and need to take the Rt. 133 Bus to NYC ( Like I do). There is permit parking for the bus and stops along Rt. 34 across the street from the Strathmore Lanes and near the intersection of Rt. 34 and Lloyd Road (heading east). There currently a wait list for both. Parking in these lots you run the risk of getting ticketed and towed. I have heard from others that they *do* tow, so proceed with caution if you decide to park in these lots without a sticker.
Hope this helps.
