Living on the Border of Old Bridge/Matawan (houses, contractors)

Hello All,
Not sure any one else falls under similar situation. The township line passes through my back yard and I pay Property Taxes to Old Bridge , but Water-Sewer charges to Matawan.
Two officers came to my door and told me they are from the Township of Matawan. They explained that the garbage is picked up by Matawan in your area, but they will no longer extend that service to me because I am not a Matawan resident.
So starting next week, the truck will skip my home.
Its funny the houses next to me (both side) fall under Matawan, while I under Old bridge .
I did not argue because it seemed legitimate that I get garbage picked up by the township I pay taxes to.

Does any one have similar experience? I have started looking for contractors as Old Bridge does not provide the Garbage Pickup Service.

The good news is that you don't have to deal with the thieves at the OBMUA, I guess.

Did they see they were from the township of Matawan? Because Matwan is not a township - it's a borough.

Well, I have hired a contractor to pickup the garbage, but for recycle and other stuff, I do have to call the Old Bridge Municipality. The officers visited from Matawan, might have said Borough of Matawan, but I am not able to recall right now .
