We are checking out all the nice downtowns in NJ. A lot of walkable streets with shops and restaurants.

Westfield,
Montclair,
Hoboken,
Princeton,

Any nice down towns that I don't know about... I am not going to list small ones. Can you share some of yours?

The 6 mentioned so far are all great - I would add Red Bank and Asbury Park.

Denville

And a real under-the-radar one…

Hawthorne. Lots of great, reasonably priced places to eat, and less traffic than the hipper, wealthier towns.

And while it’s not a big section of the town, Hackettstown has an interesting downtown section along Route 46/Main Street, also with lots of great, reasonably priced restaurants.
