Fort Lee's view of the GW Bridge (live, budget)

... was the best view of that span available on the 'net, courtesy of the Fort Lee Police Dept.'s YouTube webcam that provided a zoom lens view of the vehicles trickling through the toll plaza, then "crawling" across the span.

But then, apparently, and maybe a fortnight after the GWB went all EZPass, the Fort Lee PD's YT channel was discontinued, apparently a victim of budget cuts. Shame that we couldn't watch the conversion process of the now obsolete toll booths. Oh well...

I actually miss that view of the GWB from atop the Ft Lee PD. It was a good way to make me miss home. I wish they would bring it back and someone else pick up that view on a live web cam.
