There's too much talk about North Jersey on here, so let's talk about South Jersey a little bit. Not trying to argue which is better as that's probably been done a thousand times on here, just talk about some stuff that's unique to SJ.
I'll start with one word, made up of two different letters: Wawa

I love all the historic neighborhoods in South Jersey. I am originally from North Jersey (Essex County) and can say both areas of New Jersey are unique and beautiful. I would not choose any other state to live in.
I LOVE South Jersey and am trying to work out the logistics of moving to Cape May County next year where the pace is MUCH slower than here in suburban Philly.
Spent my summers in Wildwood as a kid and in my teens (and God bless the Do Wop Society) but have spent the last 22 years of vacation in Cape May where it's peaceful with lots to see and do - and the beach is pristine. Also, many of the restuarants are top-notch.
Even when I'm not vacationing in the summer, i'll hop on the CBB to Gloucester County and buy (a LOT) of the Jersey produce at the farm stands on 322. I've always loved south Jersey. The only time I've been to N. Jersey was in the 80s when my cousin had a bega-house in new Brunswick (I think - or was it Princeton/)
How about we talk about cessation from North Jersey =P
Being temporarily exiled to Newark for school, I realllllyyyy miss having Wawa, the Delsea Drive In, my secret places at the beach and the bay etc
and yes, they have Tastycakes in North Jersey
Well, thank God for that! I had NO idea there weren't Wawa's though, I thought they were all over NJ! What is the dividing line between the Wawa counties and non-Wawa counties? Is it the same geographic line that divides Eagles and Giants fans?
It's funny, I often tell people I wish we could secede! NO OFFENSE, North Jersey people, it's a joke, borne of feeling like a neglected step-child. Peace!
I was talking to a jersey realtor the other day, and he too made the comment that north and south are like traveling to two separate countries altogether. He loves living in CMC, growing up in my choking, congested neck of the woods in SE PA.
So do most South Jersians travel to Central jersey for jobs - or are there enough in the SJ area? Any travel to Philly for work? Just curious...

You have to remember that South Jersey is a large region. Some parts are suburbs of Philly, some parts are closer to Central Jersey, and some parts are close to the shore. It all depends what part of South Jersey you live in. I for example live 6 miles from Philly, most people that live by me either work in Camden County, Burlington County, or Philadelphia.
