Just take it easy the first few days if you are coming from low elevation. Much of Albuquerque is close to 5,500 feet in elevation, so that could be a change to be aware of. Drink a lot of water and wear sunscreen. The weather should be great. Enjoy!!

Except for the snow we've had the last two mornings.

This has been a very long lingering winter, it's colder than a well diggers ass out there right now. I am burned out frankly. Time to warm up, my patience is growing thin!

This place turns people into weather wimps. Try living in Maine.

We had a very mild late fall/early winter with warmer than average temperatures and little to no snow here in Albuquerque. We finally got good amounts of snow and now rain at the tail end of winter into early spring. I couldn't be happier lately! There's nothing that depresses me more than an unseasonably warm winter with no snow. I truly thought we weren't gonna see any snow this winter. It all decided to come beginning on Groundhog Day.

Sandia Peak Ski Area never opened this year. I find that depressing. How long before it closes permanently? Still, there was plenty of snow on Sandia Crest this year for x-country skiing and snowshoeing.

What?! Aside from the 23rd being a bit brisk, it was a delightful week! I was in light spring clothes most of the week, even in higher-elev. Santa Fe and LA. ABQ was downright warm.

Yeah, if it gets below 70, I get cranky. I think the equator beckons me!

No thank you! I remember being at Belgrade Lakes, the year 2000, September 30th. The temperature at the vacation cabin didn't get above 53 the entire 4 day period I was there. I responded by staying in the cabin, and constructing jigsaw puzzles the entire time, which was otherwise intended to be a fishing vacation. I will never, ever subject myself willingly to a real winter, ever again.

You might enjoy Ecuador. Temps in the highlands stay right around 70 degrees all year 'round, and with roughly 20% or more of the population being Indigenous, it might remind you of NM.
