Dome Homes- are there communities? (Farmington, Ruidoso: income, income tax, trailer)

I am thinking of building a Dome Home sometime in the future and wonder if there are places where some accumulate more than other types of homes.
ex: like trailer parks, of course have trailers.

Or is it just a matter of finding a community that doesn't have restrictive covenants against them?

This is a New Mexico question in general, not limited to one city.

I don't know of many places in NM where there might be restrictions on domes. In most incorporated communities it would be up to whoever issues the required building permit. Counties tend to have much laxer regulations.

I know of a number of dome - or semi dome - homes in Lincoln county and within the incorporated limits of Ruidoso. I mentioned them in the other thread referred to by Poncho. They are not "grouped" but rather found here and there.

There are 6 monolithic domes in San Juan County including mine near Bloomfield and one near the Aztec airport. Geodesic domes are far more common in SJC. We are getting ready to build another. This time we are going to build a 3 conjoined dome home. We just can't decide whether it will be in the Farmington area or in no income tax Texas. If you want info on dome communities, try reaching out to the Monolithic Dome Institute in TX. Their founders have built some communities.

When you conjoin your domes, is it by means of a passage, or are they literally butted up on one another?
