Hello, I have a student who is both gifted and has ADHD as well as level one autism and I am wondering whether there any school districts in NY that you would recommend for this population. 135 IQ and needs to be challenged academically or gets bored and gets into trouble but also needs a lot of social and emotional supports. Small student teacher ratio is a big class. We can live anywhere and would be specifically moving to NY for public school services

Look into the East Syracuse-Minoa SD, which has a good reputation in terms of special services. I’m not sure if they have Gifted & Talented program, but in terms of services for students with special needs, it has a very good reputation in the area.

On a side note, it is also a part of the Onondaga Community College Advantage scholarship program: https://www.sunyocc.edu/occadvantage...ep%20workshops.

OCC also has this program for students on the autism spectrum: https://www.sunyocc.edu/accessibility-resources

Syracuse University also has the InclusiveU program for students with special needs: https://disabilityinclusioncenter.syr.edu/inclusiveu/

Also, Le Moyne College has this program in conjunction with the East Syracuse-Minoa SD: https://spectrumlocalnews.com/nys/ce...ife-at-lemoyne

So, this gives you an idea of some things out there that you can look into.
