Hello,
I gonna take the road test next week.
So, anyone could tell me the rules of "turning right on red light"?

Thx

Yes, unless there is a sign posted stating otherwise.

This exactly. And yes...even on a red arrow.

Yes you can turn on red and contrary to popular customs you must come to a stop before turning on red. Be careful because the car behind you might not be used to actually stopping before turning.

Also, contrary to popular custom - the traffic on the roadway you are turning onto has the right of way!

And remember that when turning right you must, by law, turn into only the right-hand lane, but when turning left you may turn into any lane. (Have we confused the OP enough yet?)

And if pull behind a car stopped in the right turn lane and the light is red but there are no cars coming for miles don't blow the horn at them! I know it may be aggravating because either you are late because you didn't leave early enough or you are into saving gas and understand that idling returns 0mpg. However, none of those issues are another driver's problem and you shouldn't try to force another driver into making a maneuver they don't feel comfortable performing.
Also know that it is illegal for a truck hauling hazardous materials or a school bus to make a right turn on red or to not come to a complete stop at a railroad crossing.
Okay, done with my rant.

And remember, while it is legal, it is not REQUIRED.

One example of an intersection which has a sign specifying no right on red is the right-turn only lane at Western Blvd/Hillsborough St.

Also, in NC, you cannot turn left at a red light, even if its a one-way street. Most states allow this, but not NC.
