95% of these movies are so bad as to be unwatchable. Maybe the ending of the corporate welfare did movie goers a favor.

Nicholas Sparks’ last movie “The Longest Ride,” was released earlier this year and made $13.5 million during opening weekend. It was partially filmed on the campus of Wake Forest University.

Meanwhile, a horror thriller called, “The Disappointments Room” starring Kate Beckinsale that was filmed in Greensboro in 2014 has plans for release in March.

All Nicholas Sparks movies are corny and sappy. They've also grossed almost $900 million, so there will be more of them.

"A walk in the woods" had scenes from North Carolina. There was Fontana Dam (of course) and I recognized Max Patch. The scenes where they came to town - were those filmed in Asheville? Specifically the suburban sprawl/motor mile - it had a lot of hills. Was the motel in Asheville as well?
