The one thing I would do is start looking at any auctions where you live and start looking for campers to take over if you can afford it I know that you can find them cheep in other areas or online there's lots of different sites to look at.But remember North Dakota is no place for a family in the winter in a camper. Our men are so tough being over their really my husband is staying in a female trailer right now and it has no water tank ,no toilet, and the seams are pulling on it.He has to pay 400$ a month for it and he buys his own propane .So you see no place for a family if you have a warm home right now stay where you are until spring please, and then I would start looking in Montana or South Dakota if you want to move over.Great Falls,Billings,Mile City, even Kalispel because its only 10 hours way and you can take the Amtrak train their so no ware and tare on your car. I be leave it goes into Whitehall MT look at the Flathead Valley in Mt.Hope this Help.Idahowife
Video Essay: Life in an Oil Field 'Man Camp' - YouTube
Found this on the Colorado forum, "oil jobs" thread. That thread has folks discussing some good, and some bad rig job experiences from around several states. This video shows a Williston man camp, not sure if this is a typical man camp, looked pretty good to me. Thought folks might like to see this.
What about food venders?
I would be interested in starting a mobile food vending service to help meet the needs of the oil field workers. What are the current regulations for such a business?
Is there a need for food vendors near the man camps?
I am looking for the same info as you.
I have bits & pieces of info I can share.
What if any thing have you found out?
