It's the same reason why there are more in-fill homes in North Arlington than South Arlington.
Ah, I forgot that I'd read earlier in this thread that many of the homes didn't have basements (which shocked me). Also, N.Arl versus S.Arl is a perfect analogy -- the area right around Army-Navy CC is another area I've always wondered why it is still a bit sketchy -- so your comments are illuminating. Thanks.

I was just looking through old home building threads and it's amazing how this neighborhood is completely different than 5 years a go.

"Completely different"?

Not really. There has continued to be teardown activity in Pimmit Hills, just as there has been in North Arlington, McLean, Vienna and other parts of Falls Church, and just as there was back in 2011.

My perception of the neighborhood has changed within the last year. Before it was an area that was a little too, errrrr...and I do not mean to offend anyone, rednecky for me....and I wore a mullet into the deep 90's.

Not quite McLean, not quite Falls Church, not really Tyson's Corner. Pimmit Hills has been its own not so little space for more than 60 years and it's still going strong!
