EliPrimavera, the commute to and from the NOVA CC campus in Annandale is not bad at all from Falls Church. It will certainly be even easier from the Falls Church part of Fairfax county than it will be from Falls Church City though.

I would recommend either ride sharing or a car though. Bear in mind though that Virginia has a personal property tax on cars and that they require yearly inspections on cars. These can raise vehicle ownership costs a fair bit.

Welcome to the area.

Falls Church (Specifically Eden Center) is known for its Vietnamese food. Annandale for its Korean food.

Thank you so much, everyone! This is superhelpful! And yeah, I feel relieved as well (to know that there is nothing wrong with my decision to attend NVCC). Enjoy your weekend, guys!

NoVa has been the brunt of jokes for forty years, mostly by snobby spoiled upper middle class kids going to four year universities. It has some good programs, that could land you good pay, like Nursing, but it also is a zoo of underachievers from FCPS. If you are in a specific program, or have a specific transfer plan that will use all your credits..good for you. If you are just killing g time and have no direction, you can join the masses. The community colleges work great on paper, but some studies show that only one in eight, who go from HS to CC will obtain a four year degree. One of my pet peeves is the dishonesty by influential people towards young adults and their education/career choices. Art, English, Psychology, Music, Sociology, etc.. are more guaranteed to struggle than have any type of security. Good luck!

The 26A Metrobus runs weekdays only from about 6am to 7pm. Additionally, you can take the Orange line train to the 29N bus at Vienna.
