child support hounded her for a few missed payments unntil she paid them and was given the all clear now a month later the stimulus check of 2700 was kept completely by child support which was way more than owed...she was told a month ago that the state was some months behind in updating their records

How is child support keeping it when the gov should have put it right in your friend's account? Child support should have nothing to do with stimulus check especially if it was all paid up.

exactly..she has an advocate that told her how much was owed about a month ago..that amount was sent to Columbus and the advocate reassured her all was well...

she is told by child support workers that the database is months behind in updating..meanwhile she also got a letter from Columbus about support payments due for May

this all happened on a Saturday and she has already contacted advocate about a meeting monday

meanwhile the children go without 2700 because of ohio ancient system it appears

Unfortunantly in ohio, every most child support payees are behind the 1st of the month.By the end of the month, they are caught back up. I have a buddy that had his bonus check taken because it was the middle of the month. They kept that check until his kid turned 18.Hopefully this does not happen to your friend elvis44102.Child supports get a small % of that money. I'm glad I got the shared parenting with zero support and nothing going to the agency.
