Protected by gerrymandered districts, Republican Congresspersons generally vote to appease their Republican bases. Most recently, all of Ohio's Republican Congresspersons except for retiring Anthony Gonzalez, voted against bills protection abortion and contraception rights.

All but Gonzalez also voted against a bill protecting a woman's right to cross a state's borders in order to seek medical care, specifically an abortion.

<<...Missouri Republicans have unveiled legislation intended to halt interstate travel from anti-abortion states to states where abortion remains legal. The Missouri bill was inspired by draft model legislation from The Thomas More Society, an anti-abortion group, and will likely be adapted by other state lawmakers, who will then introduce copycat bills in their individual statehouses; Republicans in Texas and Arkansas have already begun work on such legislation."

All but Gonzalez voted yesterday against a bill protecting the use of contraception drugs and devices.

Objecting to some provisions of a bill isn't a defense against opposing all provisions of a bill. Republican Congresspersons could introduce a bill protecting any rights that they believe should be protected. Of course, whether on immigration reform or privacy rights, Ohio's Republican Congresspersons to my knowledge don't introduce or co-sponsor any legislation reflecting their viewpoints on many important issues.
