I don't see too many similarly colored beige homes in the background.

I recall there still being quite a few (strawberry?) fields around those hangars when I first saw them during a family road trip - must have been very late 1960s or 1970ish. For sure, there were still strawberries being grown in the area of the 5-405 split as late as the early 1980s.

Finally made it to Anaheim to check out the ARTIC station. It's quite beautiful! Although after being there, I do have to wonder why they built it.
