Being able to afford driving 20 miles and having a 20+ dollar dinner followed up by desert/drinks occasionally with friends would be nice rather than sitting at home playing free online video games or youtube.

You're spoiled. $20+ (35+ after dessert and tax and tips) on dinner on a frequent occasion is too much money to be spending. Once in awhile a splurge is fine; but regularly it is waste.

I grew up in a family which we went to fancy restaurants a few times a week with dinners $60 to $100 PER PERSON.
Meanwhile, as many as millions of Americans can't afford to eat, and would kill for just $20 extra to eat for a week.
Meanwhile in third world countries, $20 is more than an individual spends in food in an entire month-and not by choice.

It's disgusting how much is wasted by people who take what they have for granted, while hundreds of millions of poor innocents are starving and would kill for even a slice of bread.

Meanwhile around the world America is known for being fat.

This isn't a lecture. It's a reminder of the reality just beyond our shiny walls. Even next door.

Don't play video games and watch YouTube alone.
Instead strive to MAKE A DIFFERENCE and do whatever you can to help those less fortunate!

If this link is accurate, you would be making more than average per capita income even for Orange County...

However, you won't be living like a king. Or be living in an upscale neighborhood, unless you get roommates and rent...
