I am looking to relocate to Orange County from the Bay Area. Looking to move somewhere that's not so expensive and not so liberal as the Bay Area.

I have kids and would like to move someplace where kids play outside in front of their homes. Where people are friendly and it would be easy to make friends. West Garden Grove seems like it would be a decent area.

Seems like the prices are not as high as some other nice area's of Orange County, and I like the location as it is not too far from the water and it is close to Belmont Shores in Long Beach, which I really like.

Is West Garden Grove generally getting better? Worse? Or staying as is?

Do kids play outside in West Garden Grove?

How are the schools?

What is the commute like to and from Irvine?

Are there certain area's of West Garden Grove that would suite my requirements better than others?

Commute isn’t bad.

West GG is ok. I would get as close as you can to Los Al.

Personally I would look into Fountain Valley over GG.
