We are in the process of buying a new mattress due to my frequent neck and shoulder pains.
Which is/are the most knowledgeable and reliable mattress stores in Orlando?

We are also overwhelmed on which mattress will be best for eliminating neck and shoulder pains.
Your feedback on a very good mattress is appreciated.

Any feedback and suggestions on best store(s) with knowledgeable people who are not just trying to make a sale, but understand your plight and here to help would be welcome.

So many different mattress stores...need help on zooming in on 1 or 2.

Thanks.

I have had good success at the Mattress Firm chain. Their sales people are well-trained regarding the features and benefits of the various mattresses. Something you'll want to bear in mind when looking
at options is that the "memory foam" mattresses (TempurPedic and SleepNumber for example) don't breathe like a normal mattress and seem to intensify body heat which can make for unpleasant sleep here in Florida where it's almost always rather warm to begin with. I have neck/shoulder/back issues as well and wound up with a better grade pillow top mattress (Simmons) which has helped considerably.

Little-known fact: pricing is very opaque in the mattress industry because they don't want you to know how much you should be paying.

When I lived in New York, The assumption is that every mattress is marked up at least 30% sometimes 50%. I negotiated the price of every mattress purchase. In Virginia, they were not inclined to negotiate but I was able to price match.

Also the same mattress is referred to by different names at different stores so it makes it difficult for you to compare. This is all by design.

Agreed that Tempur-pedic mattresses are temperature sensitive. We bought one and you really need to keep your home cool for the mattress to retain its firmness otherwise it becomes very soft. Can hurt your neck and back.

+3 for Original Mattress Factory. I think they are the only mattress manufacturer to offer two-sided mattresses?

We bought a great mattress from Macy's. They had a big selection and I think mattresses are on sale right now!
