Another question for renting... (sublets, leasing, month to)

I don't know where the rules for Ontario renting rules. I know in Quebec it is normal to sign a one year lease for an apt. but you can reassign the lease if you need to. My intention would be to either get a sublet for a few months if in Quebec. What are the leasing terms in Ottawa. Can you get a month to month lease where you can move if you need or are there a lot of sublets.

There's a lot of everything. It's mostly one year leases, but you can find places that are month to month. I haven't seen very many, but it does happen. It's up to the landlord
