Hi. I am thinking of moving to a building in this area. Does anyone have comments regarding:
1) safety
2) noise levels - it was relatively quiet when I visited it at rush hour yesterday
3) plans the city has for it - will there be new building construction close by
4) community spirit
Other comments are welcome, of course. From what I can see, it's an easy walk to grocery stores, restaurants, the Bytowne, the National Gallery and a large park. Is the park safe?
Urban living without being in a high-rise or a busy street is what I am hoping for.

Thank you!
It's a so-so area by Ottawa standards. Not extremely dangerous of course (nowhere in Ottawa is) but the areas to the south of Rideau (Sandy Hill) and a bit further east north of Rideau (going towards the Rideau River) are nicer.
As a realtor and lower town resident I would not advise you to relocate there. While it may be a good location you may not have the peacefulness you would have few blocks east or west..
I would suggest either between Cobourg to Wurtemburg st. North of MacDonald Gardens Park OR the opposite side of King Edward, area within St Patrick/Sussex/Boteler/King Edward..
