Hello All,

I am a 28 year old single male, and I will be moving to Pensacola in about 3 months. I am from South Georgia, so I'm very familiar with North Florida (especially Tallahassee) but I have never been to Pensacola.

What I need advice on is where are safe areas to rent in? It's just me, so I only need a 1 bedroom/1 bath place, in between $500-700 range. I'm not limiting myself to just Pensacola. If there are other areas that are outside of Pensacola that are within reasonable driving range (15-20 mins) and affordable, then I'm interested in those places too. The biggest factor is safety. Everything else is negotiable.

Also, for any of those who have any experience with Tallahassee, how does Pensacola compare? I think Tallahassee is a fantastic city with much to offer for a city its size, especially during football season. It's generally safe, and it has tons of attractive women and other similar age people to make friends with. Does Pensacola feel significantly larger than Tallahassee?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I personally recommend looking around the University Pkwy area, it's very convenient to Publix and Target.

Pensacola is a Navy town, so you'll notice many of the younger folks are from somewhere else. You'll probably also notice Pensacola seems to have more trashy/ghetto areas compared to Tallahassee.
