Note to Mod: I am not a broker and have no interest in the property.

If this mansion were located in New York City, San Francisco, Miami or the L.A. area the asking price would be a large multiple of the current asking price. See link.

Vince Fumo's old house. Don't know if he's the one selling it or there has been another owner in between.

Is that why the house is priced so cheap (relatively speaking)?

A little more of the story than you will find in that listing:

Just Listed: Vince Fumo's Mansion in Spring Garden | Philadelphia Magazine (9/27/22)

Given how much money Fumo poured into restoring and equipping this house with all it has, he may well have been taking a loss on his total investment back when I wrote that article.

And the price has fallen another $700k in the months since then.

The house is one of a kind but $3.5 million for a house in Fairmount seems to be a pretty good fetching price considering the climb in interest rates and other factors. It’s an awesome building

A lot of bang for the buck considering the selling price for shlocky monster homes with mdf moldings galore. What would it cost to build from scratch in its original state, today? The craftsmanship is incredible.
