We have only tested 100 people in Arizona. Maybe not even that many because the state says it sometimes requires three tests for confirmation. Who knows how many actual cases are out there - most of course with minor symptoms - but nonetheless infectious? Give it time. Italy had less than a dozen once as well.

Then don't play with the squirrels at the Grand Canyon.

We have multiple threads on C-D Forum about the Coronavirus in general. This thread should be specific to Phoenix area.

Aloha Festival is still on, maybe it won't be as crowded. Still going. Ostrich Fest is still on as well as St Pats Day events. No need to panic but I understand that being completely careless can be just as bad. Hell, at that rate you would more likely get the flu and std or food poisoning. Take precautions as you SHOULD anyways. Good weekend for a hike as well.

Spring training is being suspended as of 4pm today. This is going to be a blow to the local cities that have parks. The games generate a lot of business activity. Maybe the snowbirds who come and stay for spring training will leave early now.

I was thinking this as I waited for a bus to unload a bunch of spring training fans at the Surprise Stadium (KC & TX). It's a blow for sure.
Also saw SCW closing its facilities, might push some snowbirds to go home early.

Sorry, but both of the major subforums I moderate are very busy with Covid threads. They rapidly degenerate into general speculation, politics, and bickering. I am trying to keep them on topic; there are plenty of general discussion threads throughout City Data about Covid, we don't need additional threads in every state and city sub-forum.

I have tix for next week, but was planning on skipping it. Now, I will probably get my money back.

I had planned to go to today's A's/Dodgers game. I had scouted out areas where there were blocks of unsold seats so that I could sit with no one in front, behind or next to me. The rain made the point moot.
