Hi there! My name's Sean! I'm 33 years old, and I've got autism. Even though the Diamondbacks lost the World Series last year to the Rangers, but what memories do you have from all 7 games of the 2001 World Series against the Yankees (besides George W. Bush throwing out the ceremonial first pitch in Game 3 at Yankee Stadium, Derek Jeter's “Mr. November” walk-off home run in Game 4, and Luis Gonzalez's game-winning hit in Game 7), with manager Bob Brenly, and players like "The Big Unit" himself Randy Johnson, Luis Gonzalez (as I mentioned with his game-winning hit in Game 7), Curt Schilling (3 years before he helped the Red Sox break the so-called "Curse of the Bambino", like his bloody sock in Game 6 of the 2004 ALCS), Mark Grace, Tony Womack, Craig Counsell, Matt Williams, Steve Finley, Damian Miller, Danny Bautista, etc.)

Thanks!
Sean

I remember rain and blowing dust towards the end of game 7. That's unusual weather for that time of year. It made the victory seem even more surreal.

I recall the Mexicans spelling it diamonbacks...lived in Rio Rico at the time. 9-11 caused a huge commotion at the border.

I remember seeing the B-2 Stealth Bomber flying near Squaw Peak (we were in Sunnyslope watching the game at my in-laws) on it's way to Bank One Ballpark for the flyover during the National Anthem.

I had forgotten that, but you're right. The World Series came soon after 9-11, so I'm sure the plane's presence was not only ceremonial but also a sort of show of force for a nervous nation.
