Sorry, I meant that I wasn't aware that the "in your home state" threads also had themes. I thought that was just for the "theme" threads and that the "in your home state" threads were open to anything representing the month in question in your home state. Have there always been themes for "in your home state" as well?

You are correct. My appologies. I just started doing the contests (I have entered in the past, but never ran them).
So I just have to get a contest thread up. I'm running about eight errands at once, but appreciate you keeping me straight!
I just wanted to remind people especially those who are new to please read the rules first. I'm not trying to be anal or anything. But posting pictures from lets say a year ago for example do not apply to the monthly challenges. I'm pretty sure some of the posts in this month's picture thread are not recent such as those from Lonnie21. Photos are supposed to be taken been within 30 days of the date you submitted them. Just trying to keep things real and fair for all.
So far this month I have a big goose egg for my state since I have mainly shot in the PNW on our trip to Seattle. Oh well, I still enjoying viewing all the images.
Derek - Thanks for the reminder. I actually thought photos needed to be taken during the month of the contest, but I like the 30-day rule, giving a little more flexibility. I need to pay attention when I'm reading to me.
The last entry date for the August 2010 contests is August 28th, 2010. Photos must be submitted no later than the 28th.
